Welcome to Hack the networks 2024!

This is your chance to hack cutting-edge 5G network solutions.

Our challenge partners have prepared three different but equally exciting problems for you to solve, probe around, breach and see what you come up with in 24 hours.

All the challenges involve local and private mobile networks powered by 5G, as the security of these solutions plays a pivotal role in our highly digitalized world.

This year setting the challenges are organizations who operate at the very top of technological innovation: Aalto, Fortum, PwC, Nokia, Digita and Ericsson.

In 2019 Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom organized the world's first open 5G Cyber Security Hack. The first hack was a great success and it boosted collaboration between cybersecurity community, network vendors, academia and the public sector. The second 5G Cyber Security Hack took place virtually in 2021 in the middle of the pandemic. Now the story continues with the third 5G Hack the Networks 2024.

When: May 17-18, 2024, hacking around the clock
Where: Dipoli, Otaniemi, Espoo, Finland (on-site event)
What: 5G hack focusing on local private mobile networks and critical use cases
